French Language Immersion Camp Available for All Elementary & JH students Limited to 10 campers

 Venez apprendre et pratiquer vos compétences en orientation et en cartographie dans le contexte d'une chasse au trésor au cœur de Redwoods Regional Park. Nous commencerons avec un parcours conçu à l'avance, puis nous enterrerons un trésor par équipe, créerons des cartes et partirons à la recherche du butin. Vous êtes invité à venir en costume de pirate!
Come learn and practice map reading and compass skills in the context of an adventurous treasure hunt within Redwoods Regional Park. We will start with a pre-designed course and will then bury a treasure and map it out for our friends to find. Pirate costume optional!
BORDADO CREATIVO Spanish Language Immersion Camp Available for All Elementary & JH students Limited to 8 campers

En este campamento en español, aprenderás varias puntadas mientras realizas un diseño de tu creación. Aprenderás a ensartar agujas, hacer nudos, empezar y terminar una puntada. Aplicaras tu creatividad para combinar colores y dar texturas. Puedes traer alguna pieza de ropa que quieras decorar con un bordado.
In this camp you will learn a variety of stitches while creating your own design. You will learn how to thread needles, tie knots and start and finish a stitch. You will apply your creativity to combine colors and give textures. You can bring a piece of clothing you want to decorate with your embroidery design.
WILDERNESS SKILLS
Available for All Elementary & JH students Limited to 8 campers
Instructor: Kati Gyulassy
Campers will learn a spectrum of useful wilderness skills including ones that have been passed down through the millennia. Topics to explore will encompass basic plant identification, useful knots, reading maps and orienting oneself with a compass/sun/stars, basic first aid, and how to safely build a fire (in a fire pit). We will talk about responsible and respectful behavior in the wild, and why it is still important in our very modern lives to be conscious and protective of our wilderness environments.
HOCKEY
Available for All Elementary & JH students Limited to 10 campers
Instructor: Salvador Ramos
This camp is going to be fun and awesome! We will learn the basics of hockey and practice the skills needed to play the game. We will also focus on team building skills as well as strategy and play a game every day.
Please dress appropriately for vigorous exercise. Athletic shoes, shorts and T-shirts are required. No jeans or clothing that restricts movement. Also, no flip-flops or sandals, please! Remember to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and a hat.
